Wedgwood is famous for its neo-classical style and use of the color blue. Founded in 1759 by Josiah Wedgwood, a fifth-generation potter, the company is one of the oldest potteries still producing collectibles. Josiah is known as the "father of English potters." He elevated English earthenware from a peasant craft into one worthy of the tables of nobility throughout the world.
